Portraits
They say that you should never work with animals and children but I absolutely love working with both. I love how unpredictable they are and how they are rarely afraid to be anything but themselves. I’ve worked in several nurseries over the last decade taking natural portraits, and love to act the fool to make children laugh.
Although I do give some guidance when taking portraits, my intention is always to keep things natural and moving, to give the final images a relaxed feel to them. When I first discovered photography most of my images were very documentary and this way of taking photos is still at the heart of everything I do.
